About this event
Anchored at Work – Cohort 3
A Four-Week Discussion Series for Muslim Professionals
Workplaces constantly put our values to the test by posing important questions:
- How do you protect trust when handling confidential information?
- How do you lead with compassion without compromising performance?
- How do you make difficult career decisions when the future is uncertain? And beyond salary and progression, what should actually drive the work we do?
Anchored at Work (Cohort 3) is a four-week discussion series for Muslim professionals exploring real workplace dilemmas through practical experience, business school case studies, and timeless Islamic principles.
Rather than simply being told what the "right answer" is, participants will engage in discussions, share experiences, examine real-world situations, and co-create practical solutions that can be applied in their professional lives.
Four Sessions. Four Essential Conversations:
1. The Trust Factor: Integrity, Confidences & Conflicts of Interest at Work — Amanah
Explore what Amanah looks like in the modern workplace—from handling confidential information and professional responsibilities to navigating conflicts of interest and maintaining integrity when difficult choices arise.
2. Leading with Heart: Compassion & Composure When Leading People Under Pressure — Rahma
Leadership is tested most when pressure rises. Explore how compassion, emotional composure, and responsibility can shape the way we lead people through challenging situations.
3. Tie Your Camel: Planning, Career Risk & Peace Amid Uncertainty — Tawakkul
Career decisions often involve uncertainty. Learn how thoughtful planning, responsible action, and *Tawakkul* can work together when navigating professional risks and important career choices.
4. Why We Work: Intention, Ambition & the Craft of Excellence — Ihsan & Niyyat
What drives your professional life? Reflect on ambition, intention, excellence, and how the purpose behind our work can transform the way we approach our careers.
How the Series Works:
Anchored at Work is built around discussion and participation. Throughout the four sessions, participants will work through workplace challenges using:
